My Name is Christopher Kendall,
and I am a Photographer, Videographer, and WordPress Developer.

In the art of capturing light and motion, we immortalize fleeting moments, turning the impermanent into timeless stories…

With a keen eye for capturing moments that matter, I specialize in creating stunning visuals that tell compelling stories. My love for photography, videography, and technology drives me to help others connect with their audiences, share their stories, and promote their products and their business. Whether it’s through the lens of my camera (whether it’s in my hand or 400 feet in the air), or the inner-workings of a website, I’m dedicated to bringing your visions to life and making it shine!

My Story

My journey into videography, photography, and creative work was far from a straight path. I’ve always had a deep passion for film and photography, but it wasn’t until the end of my freshman year of college that I seriously considered turning this passion into a career.

Initially, I enrolled at Randolph-Macon College with dreams of becoming a political scientist, lawyer, or even a government agent. However, the world changed drastically when the COVID-19 pandemic hit. My dad, Michael, who is a pastor in the United Methodist Church, had to adapt quickly to deliver his sermons virtually. He turned to me for help, and that’s when I set up a YouTube page for the church and began editing his recordings using Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, particularly Premiere Pro. Little did I know that this experience would change the course of my life.

Today, I continue to work for my dad, but in a different capacity—I’m the Director of Technology, Media, and Marketing at Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church.

After catching the creative media bug, I became involved in various projects at Randolph-Macon’s Office of Marketing & Communications. Eventually, I became the Videography Student Intern, a first for the college. In this role, I worked on a wide range of projects, from advertising and social media content to interviews, athletics coverage, and collaborative projects between different departments. I gained invaluable hands-on experience, from brainstorming ideas to delivering a polished final product. Additionally, I ventured into academic internships, collaborating with organizations like the Virginia Sports Network and taking on professional client assignments.

Following my graduation from Randolph-Macon, I have continued my contract work for the college and Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. I have also strived to expand my horizons by taking on new challenges as General Assistant and Portrait Artist with Butler Portraits.

Despite a full calendar, I am still dedicated to pursuing my passion by taking on a diverse range of freelance projects across the Greater Richmond, Virginia and Farmville, Virginia regions. I relish the opportunity to apply my skills and creative approach to a variety of projects. I’m excited about the prospect of working with you and turning your project dreams into reality!
